ParkHats supports TAPS

We at ParkHats have the utmost respect and admiration for those that have and are serving in our country’s military, a sacrifice that is often taken for granted. So, through the end of the year, we will be supporting Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS Expeditions) with $2 for each hat sold through December 31, 2018.

Our team was turned onto TAPS by way of longtime supporters and friends of ParkHats – Craig and Fred the Afghan (@FredtheAfghan). Craig has, for several years, organized a benefit concert in D.C to support TAPS in honor and memory of his friend and fellow Marine, GySgt Justin Schmalstieg (Schmall's Fest - TAPS Benefit Concert).

TAPS supports our country’s fallen heroes by offering community to those they leave behind through care packages, counseling and outdoor therapy (to name a few). Since 1994, TAPS has assisted more than 80,000 families. Included in this assistance, TAPS has encouraged survivors to engage in expeditions that take groups out into the wilderness to experience the healing that awaits in the challenge, strife and ultimate victory of each expedition. This next year, TAPS will be taking a group to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Join us in supporting those who have stood beside our country’s heroes through it all, now through the end of 2018. We will announce our total contribution in January.
